Wayne Evans is a results-focused professional with an established record of success. He has more than 40 years of voluntary and professional fundraising experience. Wayne commenced his professional fundraising career in 1993 at The Werribee District Hospital and has worked in the areas of education, health, community services, sport, and the arts.
Wayne has extensive fundraising experience, particularly in the field of Education. Educated in Business at Federation University in Ballarat, his career has included working at Victoria University in Melbourne and the Australian National University in Canberra. He also successfully established a fundraising program for Duchesne College, a residential college at the University of Queensland.
He also has a special interest in fundraising events and has been a judge of the Australian Event Awards for the past four years.
In the area of science, Wayne worked for Science & Technology Australia, initially as Fundraising Manager and then subsequently for a number of years in a fundraising consultancy role.
Wayne has completed fundraising work in a number of regional Australian cities, particularly in South-East Queensland, including staff and consulting roles. He also has international experience working in New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Malaysia.
Wayne was the National Director and President (ACT) of FIA (Fundraising Institute of Australia) and is a member of the Fundraising Institute of New Zealand (FINZ) Central Committee. He has received multiple awards for his fundraising achievements and was recognised for his service with awards from two former Governors-General.
