Ryan has more than ten years of experience working in the development sector. Having worked for multinational, community-based foundations, as well as public health organisations, Ryan has extensive experience developing sustainable development strategies.
He is particularly passionate about developing fundraising strategies within the health sector and has been designing and implementing fundraising programs in this sector for more than ten years.
Ryan has been recognised by his colleagues and philanthropists for engaging senior clinicians, executive teams, and boards to develop long lasting and profitable relationships.

Ryan commenced his career working with major donors and community groups at the Australian Red Cross before becoming the Fundraising Manager at CARE Australia. Whilst at CARE Australia Ryan lead a team, increasing fundraising income by 50% to $12m through the introduction of Bequest, Major Gift, Direct Marketing, and new acquisition strategies.
Currently, Ryan is Director of Fundraising at the Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation Melbourne. Previous to that, he was the Director of Engagement, Foundation and Corporate Communications at Northern Health (Victoria). In 2014, Ryan and was recognised in the Fundraising and Philanthropy magazine for his role at Northern Health for leading Victoria’s fastest growing health service Foundation.
Ryan is based in Melbourne. He was elected to the Council at the City of Monash (2005-08), where he sat on the board of arts and community-based organisations. Up until 2017, he was a Board Member of Amaze (Autism Australia).
