With the assistance from AskRIGHT, St Andrews Community Presbyterian Church in Otahuhu, South Auckland, has been granted $300,000 from Foundation North towards a redevelopment of their facilities.
How AskRIGHT Assisted the Church
The church, established in 1906, is redeveloping its site to better serve its community. The church is now a multicultural Pasifika congregation, desiring to provide better facilities for its varied programmes. Their plans will include a larger auditorium for worship and community events, necessary earthquake strengthening and heritage preservation, integration of disconnected buildings, and a welcoming street frontage with landscaping. The whole project will cost nearly $3.5 million.
In order to apply for external funding to supplement the churches internal fundraising efforts, a feasibility study was required, and AskRIGHT was approached to assist. The study investigated the organisations mission and objectives, a needs assessment to justify the new facilities including demographics of the area and intended users.
AskRIGHT was pleased to assist St Andrews, and delighted they were successful in their grant application.
